Bryce Canyon City, UT to Torrey, UT

The morning began with Grape-Nuts and apples under a gigantic Ponderosa Pine.  See how it dwarfs the tipi, which itself dwarfs the van, which has been named Alfronzo?

Then, off from Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef National Park via the Scenic Byway of Utah Route 12.  These 110 miles are known for their surprising and unending beauty.  Here are a few examples:

When we first arrived at the National Park, we were invited to pick apples in the orchards planted 120 years ago by the Mormon settlers.

From there, our time at Capitol Reef was spent watching Asher nap, the rain fall, and Greta and Salem earn their Junior Ranger badges.

We went out for pizza and played horseshoes right at the restaurant.

Tomorrow we are headed -- still east -- to Canyonlands and Arches National Parks.
