Las Vegas, NV to Toquerville, UT (Two Night Stay in Tocquerville)

On the way out of Vegas, we had to stop at the World's Largest Gift Shop.  This due to the fact that, I believe, we have seen every gift shop between home and here.

We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring Zion.

We arrived to our Couchsurfing hosts who cooked us a lovely dinner and gave us tips for tomorrow's trip back to Zion.

After an early dinner with our CS hosts, we took a long hike on the back side of Zion.

With only two weeks left on the road, we are off to Bryce Canyon today, Friday the 17th

Flagstaff, AZ to Las Vegas, NV

After bidding the sweetest family good-bye, we departed for the Hoover Dam and Las Vegas.

Every baby is sleeping and, at 11:20 p.m., the outdoor temperature is 94 degrees.  And, by the way, it is NOT a dry heat.


Tomorrow, we turn this bus around and begin our slow tour back east.

The children were agreeable to getting up in time to see the sunrise at the Grand Canyon.  

We were out of the house at 3:30.

Though tempted to include dozens of snapshots of the Canyon, the colors in digital image simply do not compare to the real thing.  We were told this and now are true believers.

Off to the Hoover Dam and to Las Vegas . . .
